Luigi Pecci's contemporary art centre - Prato (Central Italy)
The Pecci museum rises in the middle of a road junction between Florence and Pistoia: an internationally active centre, with an important permanent collection of the most relevant contemporary artists. Following the direct commission of Maurice Nio – of the homonymus International office of architecture – then confirmed by Prato's city hall and Toscana region, Kino Workshop planned a flexible light: natural, guaranteed by Solatube 99 ducts, with complete and artificial luxometric control, thanks to electrified rails running along the snake transversal generatrix, giving home to the projectors endowed with spherolit optics, and variable angles-shot pointed over the works.
